B.Sc. Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology

About the Course

The Bachelor of Science in Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology is a four-year undergraduate program (three years of academic study followed by one year of internship) that trains students to become proficient in assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures. This specialized course focuses on equipping students with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to manage operation theatre (OT) environments and administer anesthesia under supervision.

Students are trained in preparing the OT, sterilizing surgical instruments, assisting during complex surgeries, and ensuring patient safety and monitoring throughout the perioperative process. With the increase in surgeries and demand for quality surgical care, Operation Theatre Technologists have become indispensable in hospitals and surgical centers.

Led by a team of skilled surgeons, anesthesiologists, and experienced technologists, the department ensures that students receive real-time training in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative procedures. It emphasizes safety, precision, hygiene, and teamwork, which are the foundations of successful surgical outcomes.
